‘아이들이 수업을 주도하면 과학이 더 즐거워질까?’
‘일루미나 X 점프 DNA과학소년탐정단’ 키비주얼 디자인은 그 질문에서 출발했습니다. 단순히 ‘탐정’이라는 설정을 활용하는 데 그치지 않고, 학생이 직접 사건을 추리하며 과학 개념을 체득할 수 있는 설계를 만들고자 했습니다.

디자인 과정에서 교육과 서사의 경계를 허물고, 아이들이 몰입할 수 있는 ‘경험형 교육 콘텐츠’를 시각적으로 풀어내는 데 집중했습니다.

• 복잡한 생명과학 개념은 픽셀 그래픽으로 구조화하고
• 직관적인 상징(돋보기, 탐정모자, 현미경 등)을 통해 탐정적 몰입감을 시각화했으며
• 만화적 스타일은 초등학생 눈높이에 맞춰 정보 전달의 감각적 언어로 활용했습니다.

“Would kids enjoy science more if they led the story themselves?”
The key visual design for “Illumina X Jump: DNA Science Detective Squad” began with that question. We didn’t stop at calling them ‘detectives’—we designed a system where students could genuinely experience science by solving mysteries themselves.

At Nodazi Studio, we questioned how science education could become an immersive experience. So we:

• Translated complex biology concepts into pixel visuals for clarity and abstraction
• Used familiar icons—microscopes, detective hats, magnifying glasses—to guide engagement
• Embraced a comic-book style to create an emotionally intuitive learning environment for kids
